The inscription on this sundial indicates at which kind of monastery you can see it. “Ora et Labora” is the motto of the Benedictines. The depiction in the middle gives a hint to the place. You can find this element in the coat of arms of Seitenstetten.
View from my hotel room in Geras. I stayed on the first floor of a former ‘Schüttkasten‘. That is a building which was used for the storage of corn in earlier times. From my room, I had this view of Geras Abbey (Stift Geras). Inside the building on the left side I took a lesson in producing hand-made paper lately.
After reaching the walls of Dürnstein Castle (Burgruine Dürnstein), I had this view of Dürnstein Abbey (Stift Dürnstein). I guess some of you have already seen this church steeple while taking a river cruise ship?
