Goethe’s Garden House in Weimar, Germany

View of Goethe's garden house

The former Gartenhaus (Garden house) of Goethe is a museum now. Inside one can see original inventory like  the pedestal desk with seating support in the study and the folding bed in the sleeping area.

This Gartenhaus was Goethe’s main residence and workplace until he moved to Frauenplan in June 1782. So the famous ballad of the ‘Erlkönig’ and the poem ‘To the Moon’ was written here.
