Police boat FPB 25 (2001) in Rostock
This police boat was built by Fassmer in 2001. It is used by the German Police Authority Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The home port is Rostock. On this pic, it anchors next to the ‘Hohe Dünne‘ Yachting & Spa Resort.
Icebreaker ‘Stephan Jantzen’ in Rostock
This icebreaker was built in 1967 and is named after the sea rescuer Stephan Jantzen (1827-1913). The ship is off duty now. Although there were plans to convert the ship into a luxury icebreaker for private tours to the Arctic and the Antarctic it is still waiting for a new assignment at Rostock City Harbour.
Gorch Fock (1933) in Stralsund, Germany
The Gorch Fock was built in 1933 as school ship for the German Reichsmarine. Today it is a museum ship in Stralsund. The name refers to the author Johann Wilhelm Kinau, who used the pseudonym Gorch Fock for his works.

Hundertwasser’s ship Regentag in Tulln
During a walk along the Danube River in Tulln, I came across a ship named ‘Regentag’. The Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser made some trips with this ship. It is open for public now.
