Mushroom dish in Klammstein

Mushroom pan in Klammstein, Austria

One reason to visit the restaurant of Hotel Klammstein was the ‘Pfandlwoche’. In this period the restaurant offered especially dishes served in pans (‘Pfandl’). I had a pan with mushrooms and dumplings. The owner of the restaurant told me the mushrooms were collected in the woods around the hotel.

Actually many of the hotel’s guests spend their holidays by collecting mushrooms in the surrounding areas. This reminds me of my childhood when I used to walk through the forest looking for some porcini or chanterelle. Perhaps I should do this for relaxing reasons again? What about you? Do do you love spending your leisure time by collecting mushrooms?
