My first visit to the Natura.Kreativ led me to the Reitlehenalm, an alpine pasture near Altenmarkt im Pongau. Right in the middle of the hills, a class in voice training took place. The teacher was Annelie Leuthäuser, an experienced theatre and concert singer.

At the beginning of the festival La Strada, I watched the French group Décor Sonore playing in the streets of the city using handrails, barriers, traffic signs and even balcony rails as instruments. By the way, the German word for beginning is ‘Anfang’.

Dürnstein Castle (Burgruine Dürnstein) was first mentioned as castrum Dierenstein in 1144. The castle is placed right at the border between Styria and Carinthia. I took this photo while riding a train between Friesach and Unzmarkt. One can see the catenary of the railroad on the left side of the picture.

The Maßenburg is a castle ruin on a hill high over Leoben. It was probably first built in the 13th century. Today hikers have there a great view of Leoben from a viewing tower built on the ruins of a former watch tower.

The Erlensee Lake located in the Tyrolean place Brixen im Thale is reserved for anglers only. Next to the lake there is a small restaurant named Fischerstadl. There one can have fresh fish dishes while looking at the lake from the restaurant’s terrace.

Hotel Alpenhof is located in Brixen im Thale, right in the middle of Brixental Valley. From the nearby railway station it is just a walk of 10 minutes, the bus for the ski resorts is about 150 meters away. The hotel is situated at the end of a street so there is no transit traffic.

The church was named after Jodok (Saint Judoc) who had lived in 7th century. The church was first mentioned in 14th century. An interesting architectural detail: The church is protected against avalanches by a chapel in front of its main entrance.

Hotel Gemma is a small hotel located at Kleinwalsertal Valley with a fine view from the lounge to the lower part of the valley. Besides that it is situated next to a ski lift so one can start the winter day by skiing down to the lift station and finishing the ski activities just by skiing back to the entrance of the hotel.
