The Austrian museum about paper making (Österreichisches Papiermuseum) is placed in the halls of a former paper mill in Steyrermühl. There you can learn something about the different ways of paper making beginning with the papyrus of the ancient Egypt up to the huge paper mills of today.

Bad Ischl was the summer resort of the Emperor’s family of Austria-Hungary for many years. Generally, they took the train to reach their villa (Kaiservilla) in Bad Ischl. The monarchy has gone but the railway station of that time is still here.
