The Chiemsee Railway (Chiemseebahn) was opened in 1887. Though it doesn’t exactly meet the definition of a tramway, it is considered the oldest steam tramway in the world still in use. It connects Prien Railway Station with Prien Port on the Chiemsee.
The Roman Museum of Wagna is located right above the remains of the former Roman settlement Flavia Solva. Thus, you can simultaneously look at the ancient walls below your feet and some Roman pieces that have been found there.
You find this sundial on a building along the Stallhof in Dresden. The Stallhof is a court of the Dresden Castle (Dresdner Residenzschloss). It formed a venue for tournaments in earlier times.

The city hall of Rostock on the Neue Markt square dates back to the 13th century. Its architecture is a mixture of two styles. A Baroque porch expanded the Gothic building in the 18th century.
This pic is a view from the roof of the Stahlwelt. The Stahlwelt is an exhibition hall promoting products made of steel. The small hill in the middle reminds me of the Erzberg, a mining area for ore in the Austrian state of Styria.
Ehrenburg Palace (Schloss Ehrenburg) was the residential palace of the dukes of Saxe-Coburg until 1918. Its present façade in the English Gothic Revival style is a work by Karl Friedrich Schinkel at the beginning of the 19th century.
In earlier times, this guard tower served on the Hungarian side of the Iron Curtain. Today, it stands on the Austrian side in the state of Burgenland. By climbing half the tower, people have a nice view of the scenery.
This statue of God Mercury stands in the Planetary Garden of Eggenberg Castle (Schloss Eggenberg) in Graz. The garden represents the planets with different plants and sculptures.
At Stift Geras (Geras Abbey), I saw an exhibition about local fire brigades. One exhibit was this steam-powered fire pump dating back to 1911. The pump served in the fire brigade of the Austrian city of Horn.
