This sculpture is one of twelve donor portraits located in the west choir of Naumburg Cathedral. Due to the look of the depicted lady, this work is considered the most beautiful of the twelve. The name of the statue is Uta of Naumburg.
Sister Cities of Graz
This mural tells about the Sister Cities of Graz. You find it near the Schloßberg Museum on top of the hill (Schloßberg) in the middle of the Styrian capital. Today, it isn’t up-to-date. For example, it doesn’t mention Ljubljana that joined this group in 2001.
Käpt’n Blaubär and Hein Blöd
These sculptures on the river Gera in Erfurt represent Käpt’n Blaubär and Hein Blöd. Both were stars in a German children’s television series. Käpt’n Blaubär (Captain Bluebear) also appeared in the educational children’s television series Die Sendung mit der Maus.

Wood gas driven automobiles remind us of times with fuel shortages, e.g. during and after World War II. This truck powered by wood gas is a still-running model displayed at a classic military car meeting on the grounds of the Vienna Museum of Military History.
He 178 at Rostock Airport
On 27 August 1939, the first aircraft with a jet engine completed its maiden flight. The He 178 was developed by Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke. In memory of its first start in Rostock-Marienehe, a replica hangs in the check-in hall of Rostock Airport.
2nd Marcus Car in Mürzzuschlag
This pic shows an operating replica of the second car built by Siegfried Marcus. It formed an exhibit at a classic car meeting performed by the Südbahnmuseum in Mürzzuschlag. The original saw its construction in 1888/1889 and is still running too.
Youth hostel in Warnemünde
A fun way to stay in Warnemünde is this youth hostel in the edifice of a former weather station. The equipment on top of the tower still collects data for weather forecasting. Guests of the hostel will find the Baltic Sea not far away.
Theseus Temple in Vienna
Visitors who enter the Volksgarten, a public park in Vienna, seem to face a piece of Greek antiquity. Of course, it isn’t ancient. The Theseus Temple is a classicistic building from the years 1819/23. Today, it forms a dependence on the Museum of Fine Arts.

This monument to Marcus Aurelius is a replica of an equestrian statue on Capitols Square (Piazza del Campidoglio) in Rome. The sculpture in Tulln commemorates a Roman camp named Comagena, which was the predecessor of the modern city.
